My first podcast on wedding content creation
While working from Morocco in December, I received an email from Sven Wildenberg inviting me to join his podcast Babsenbabbel. Sven is an experienced wedding officiant (BABS) and host of his own podcast, where he takes listeners behind the scenes of the wedding industry. No scripted formats or standard wedding talk, but honest, humorous and insightful conversations with people who help make a wedding day truly meaningful. I felt very honored!
After a short introduction call, it felt like the perfect moment to share my perspective through Snap That Wed, even though recording a podcast was a little bit outside my comfort zone ;-)

The podcast was recorded shortly after I returned to the Netherlands mid January. I spent one day at home before traveling to Nijmegen for the recording. It was my first meeting back, which kept the experience very focused.
I had a great experience recording the podcast together with Sven. It allowed space to talk freely about how wedding content creation complements photography and videography, rather than replacing or competing with them.
We discussed questions many couples (and suppliers) recognize:
Are photos or videos more important on a wedding day?
What moments truly matter when you look back years later?
And even topics like dress codes: do they really add to the experience?
The conversation naturally focused on the moments in between: behind-the-scenes content, candid reactions, atmosphere and the real-time experience of a wedding day. The parts that are often felt most, but captured the least.
After listening to the podcast, you’ll gain clarity on:
what a wedding content creator actually does (and doesn’t do)
how this role fits alongside photographers and videographers
why more couples are choosing flexible, experience-driven ways of documenting their day
and how weddings are continuing to shift toward personal choices rather than fixed traditions
I hope you will enjoy the podcast!
